An altruist, visionary, and technical business executive, Mr. Thomas Sowinski has over 21 years of guiding and digitally transforming large corporations. He has a background in technical leadership, strategic planning, software development, creating and building global teams, as well as change management within the insurance, banking, and financial industries.
Capitalizing on his personal philosophy that each company is “customer-focused tech company”, regardless of their year of establishment or industry, Thomas provides his constituents with unparalleled experience in setting and executing technical strategic goals, aligning with their larger business outcomes.
A sought-after speaker, Thomas has spoken at numerous national conferences, such as Laserfiche Empower, AIM Infotech, and Telehealth Secrets. He is most proud of his keynote talk, “Going Beyond” at the Laserfiche Empower 2020 conference and “What You Wish You Knew, Management in Hindsight” at AIM Infotech 2020.
In addition, Mr. Sowinski is deeply involved in the United States Soccer Federation. He currently sits as the Secretary of US Youth Soccer and is a member of the US Soccer Federation Youth Council. Not only does he mentor and coach young players on the field, but applies the same principles to the business environment, resulting in high-functioning and customer-focused operations, while fostering leadership and self-motivation among the employees.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Science from Fairfield University. During his downtime, he enjoys volunteering, playing & coaching soccer, and spending time with his family. He currently resides in Gretna, NE with his wife and two sons.
Bob Herrera
Sr. Business Systems Consultant
Mutual of Omaha
Bob Herrera is a Sr Business Systems Consultant at Mutual of Omaha. Bob works with the Information Services intern program and is the relationship manager for the external staffing vendors. He is involved in recruiting and retention efforts on behalf of the Information Services Operation.
Bob joined Mutual in 1986 as an entry level programmer. He has held multiple positions including Systems Analyst, Project Manager, and Information Services Manager.
Bob has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Kearney State College. He has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
